New Pens

Today I spent most of the day at the computer scrapbooking and trying to get my planner organized.  Colt bought me some new pens when he went school supply shopping.  He knows my love for colored pens :o)  Everyone in the house has their own color.  I color code everyone's activities that I need to keep track of.  Me=BLUE, Michael=ORANGE, Ash=PINK, Colt=GREEN, Chey=PURPLE & Nick=LIGHT BLUE.  Oh almost forgot Family Events=BLACK.

The photo of Miss Tiggy was taken because she loves to get in my way and sit right in the middle of the desk.  It is cute until she moves on to the keyboard and things start to disappear and are lost.

Nick's Art Show Entry

Orange juice has replaced the coffee today.  I spent the day not knowing what day it was until a friend text me a sweet "Happy Friday the 13th" greeting.  Being sick stinks!

I went through my SD card again and noticed I missed a few pictures for today.  I had another PT appointment and was given a container of that funky putty to use with hand exercises.  I'm not a fan of the putty.  It left a funky film on my hand and got under my nails.  PT guy Jim will get an earful regarding the putty LOL.

I also ventured out of the house into town today with Ash.  We stopped at Kwik Trip to put gas in the car when I saw corndogs!  I couldn't pass one up now that I can smell and taste my food once again.

Mr. Fish, Nick brought home his art project to show before he had to take it back to school to be entered in the art show.  Nick received an A+ on his ceramic fish and was recommended to enter it in the art show.  So Mr. Fish is now back at school awaiting his big day :o)

I felt my worst today.  I didn't get out of bed and when I did, it was just to move to the couch.  Darn cold.

First Day of College

I couldn't miss this mamarazzi moment.  My Yazhii starting his first day of college.  Where does the time go?  A year ago we were making prom arrangements and doing pre graduation planning.  As a mom, I wish we could keep them small and cute.  Yes, I know I have to let them grow up and leave the nest.

After I dropped Colt off, I decided I would spend a little ME time and look around at a few stores I haven't been to in awhile...Goodwill and Bargain Bills.  It was fun looking around and not being rushed to hurry and get out because there is some other place we need to be.  I did find a few things at Goodwill and the damage done in the craft section of Bargain Bills was ONLY $30.  Which isn't bad.  Those who know me and the craft section of Bargain Bills knows what I'm talking about LOL that was just a TINY dent in the amount of damage that could have been done :o)

Day 10

My intention was to get this posted yesterday so I would at least have a bit of a head start on catching up.  NOPE.  I ended up going to bed at 9pm and slept through the night.  I guess I needed my sleep LOL.  (1.17.12)

As much as I didn't want to get up, get ready and leave the house...I did.  I needed to replenish my stock in tissue and drugs :oP  I wandered down the isles of good ole Walmart trying to remember where they hid the facial tissues.  Found them!  Well, I found the amazing tissues with Vicks Vapor Rub in them!  My new cold tissue!  Speaking of Vicks Vapor Rub...that was the perfume scent of the week LOL  Oh believe me...I was using it religiously.  Now on to the NyQuil.  I use to dread taking the stuff as a child and I still do as an adult.  I've tried the cherry flavor NyQuil and that isn't any better in taste.  YUCK is all there is to describe it and I'm making my "yuck face" as I type this and look at the photo above.

This was a GIFT from Ash from one of her many trips out to Vegas and it holds 2 cups of coffee saving me an extra trip to the kitchen for a refill.  Therefore making it one of my favorite cups :o)

This morning everyone woke up early. I thought today was the day that Colt had his orientation for school. Oops! Mom had her days confused! It is a good thing Colt checked the school web site because his orientation isn't until Tuesday the 10th.
In my defense...I'm blaming the cold. I'm not thinking or seeing straight :oPAfter Colt and Ash realized Mom goofed, they both went back to bed.  I stayed awake and made sure Chey and Nick got off to school okay.  I finished my coffee and watched some TV before I laid down for a nap.
The rest of my day was spent blowing my nose and rubbing my watery eyes.

Day 8

I'm going to be playing catch up for the next couple of days.  I had an awful cold last week and I'm finally feeling better to get back to my blog.  I still have a little cough but nothing like what I had last week.  (1.15.12)

Sunday evening was when I started with the first signs of a cold coming on.  I really can't remember what I all did on Sunday.  A week was just too long...one of the downfalls of getting behind and not keeping up with my blog daily :o( 

Day 7

I forgot to turn my alarm off last night before I went to bed...so this morning I woke up at 6:45.  That is just way too early for the weekend so I hit the snooze button and slept till 9:30.  Was nice to sleep in without Miss B waking me up to go outside.
Chey and I were the only ones up at 9:30 so she made coffee and the both of us enjoyed our warm cup of caffeine and watched The Goonies.  The Goonies is one of my all time favorite-cute movies :o)

Flip Flops!!!

Ice Fishing on Beaver Dam Lake

YAY! today I finally wore my flip flops!  It was another nice day until the wind started during the late afternoon.  I'm just thrilled I got to enjoy the afternoon in my flip flops. 
Chey and I were doing errands when I noticed all the people ice fishing out on the lake.  I didn't go out on the lake...me being the chicken I am...I took the picture while safe on land.  I prefer to be on the lake when it is in liquid form and not frozen :o)

Day 6

I lacked motivation to get up and going this morning till I remembered that I had a 10am nail appointment.  It was a nice 2 hours out of the house catching up with what was going on at Capelli Salon.  You really can't see the RED color of my nails in the picture I took...but they are RED!

I made a mess...

{I made a mess...} I found this baby afghan that I had started a couple years ago as I was looking through my yarn bin.  I got excited when I saw that it was almost complete when I noticed where I goofed.  That was when I remembered why I put it aside.  I needed to take it all out down to the second row.  So I did just that today.  I don't know what will become of it but it is now a pile of baby yarn on my desk waiting for me to FINISH it!  Chances are this might get done this month due to the fact that I can crochet better without having to use my left hand a lot.  Knitting is difficult with the wrist pain because I use my left hand more when I knit.

So, I'm going to leave it on my desk and hope the cats leave my little pile of yarn alone tonight :o)

Day 5

I'm cutting it close tonight.  Just had a lot going on today.  The bionic hand returned today.

It's WARM!

Heatwave in Wisconsin today!

With how warm the weather was today and all the snow melting, I wanted to wear my flip flops.  Crappy thing was I couldn't find them.  While I was looking for them, I thought maybe Ash hid them from me because I wear them all the time and she would give me a hard time for wearing them when it is cold out.  I did eventually find them in my laundry hamper.  That's where I hid them from Spottie.  He loves to take my shoes and when he gets a hold of my flip flops...he chews them up.  These are the only comfortable pair I have left.

I do need to get to bed.  I have another morning appointment tomorrow.  This one won't cause any pain...I'll be getting my nails done.  I'm waaaaay over due for my fill.  I had to cancel my appointment last week.  The hour I spend at my appointment is my ME time.  No kids, No pets and enjoyable conversation with other adult females :o)

Day 4

I would like to wish my Lil Sister & Brother (the twins) & Bizh a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

This morning after the kids left for school, I decided I would stay up and enjoy a quiet morning (was tempted to go crawl back in bed) before I had to get ready to meet Chey for her Dr's appointment. 
I enjoyed my coffee and worked on Ash's art journal book.  I've been slowly doing pages, adding paper, painting, inking and embellishing the book.  Every trip I make to a craft/scrapbook store I look for papers that I know she would like.  She likes the color pink so that is the main color I'm working around.  I've taken a few pictures of her book and 2 other photos for today :o)

It is another evening of pain in my wrist.  So I'm unable to knit or type for a very long time. Off to the couch I go to watch Ghost Hunters. 

Day 3

I'm posting early this evening.  I didn't think my wrist was going to hurt like it is from physical therapy.  Actually I think it's the patch I have on that is causing all the discomfort.  The patch is one of my photos for today.  My Nick thinks I'm part robot...Ash commented on how I look like Buzz Lightyear (the light strip on the patch)...and Chey said it is the "return of the bionic hand"...gotta love my kids :o)

Due to the discomfort of my patch today, I'm trying to get my emails, FB and blog done so I can relax and wait for 9pm to get here so I can remove the darn patch.  I hope all this PT helps and I can put all this pain behind me. 
Tomorrow looks to be another slow day so I hope to finish up on my downloading and get some CT layouts finished up. 
I'm relieved all the holiday hoopla is over with and all the decorations are back down in the basement.  I have a month to enjoy before the next holiday...Valentine's Day :o)

Day 2

Today Chey and Nick returned back to school after their 2 week break.  I was surprised they both woke up before me.  I guess they were excited to get back to school LOL
My day wasn't very eventful.  I did a little knitting on a project I started before my wrist started acting up and sent me back to the Dr for the swelling and pain.  I've been trying to organize my picture files from 2011 for scrapping.  I didn't realize how many pictures I took LOL

2012!!! Day 1

I'm going to give this a try AGAIN!  Let's see if I can get past January 20th this year :oP
Here are the first pictures I took in 2012 (my favorite ones).  My sweet, bubbly glass of champagne and my 4 legged Fantastic 4 fur balls.  I just realized that my first pictures of 2011 are almost the exact ones of 2012.  The only difference is the fur balls are a year older :o)
