Frost

This morning I couldn't resist taking a few pictures of the frost on the car.  I knew it wouldn't be there after I dropped Colt off at work and made my stop to get the Sunday papers. With the sun shining, the frost shimmered and looked really pretty.  The pictures doesn't do it justice :o)

Miss B and Brandon.  Brandon is Chey's boyfriend and today he came over to pick Chey up so they can go hangout and watch movies.  It is so cute when Brownie will do everything she can to get attention from Brandon.  As soon as Miss B sees Brandon taking off his shoes, she will lay down on the floor and roll over for a belly rub.  As soon as Brandon sits down, Miss B will jump up on the couch to sit by him.  If Chey is sitting next to him, she will whine till they let her up on the couch with them.  In this picture, I was able to get Miss B as she jumped up on the couch with Brandon.  I thought it was cute how she posed for me as I took the picture.  We tease Chey that Brownie is Brandon's new girlfriend LOL

This morning I had my nail appointment at Capeli Salon with Shannon.  I thought about going with my usual french tips but saw this awesome pink nail polish.  Nicki Minaj's collection with OPI is pretty cool.  So, for the next 3 weeks I'll be wearing Pink Friday.

FINALLY!  The darn FedEx guy stopped at the house!  It was like Christmas for Colten.  He finally got his new MLG backpack to fit all his gamer crap in.  Oh and the Astro's!  I have no clue what the heck these darn headphones do, but they make this kid of mine think he just won the lottery.  I guess this is what all the "gamers" use.  I stood there smiling like I knew what he was talking about LOL it all did a fly-by over my head.  I have to admit that it is always nice to see him smile.

Not only did the FedEx guy stop buy that afternoon, but the UPS redhead guy stopped by too.  I only know he's a redhead because the girls always refer to the UPS guy as the "Redhead Guy" LOL.  Ash was excited to finally get her new white coat.  

I was a very lucky Mom today...I got smiles from all the kids :o)

Today I spent the morning doing laundry and cleaning up around the house.  Between that I tried to get some scrapbooking done.  I had an afternoon PT appointment with PT Jim today.  He did his usual "try to fix" the wrist things then out came the mega patch.  What you don't see in the picture is the battery pack that is placed on that plastic thing on top.  Once the battery pack is turned on....holy OUCH!  it feels like thousands of little sharp razors biting my wrist.  It last for about 3 minutes then the battery pack is removed.  After while I'm just wearing the patch it just stings.  I do have to admit that the pain does lead to comfort after the patch is removed.  I'm able to use my wrist to do things that would normally hurt to do before.

My Fantastic 4!  Today Michael and I picked up the 2 younger kids from school (the older 2 were already home) and we went to an early movie and dinner at Pizza Hut.  This was one of the RARE occasions when all 4 of the kids were together for a family night.  Typically there is a child who has something going on after school or at work.  So this was a very nice and fun evening for the Bearhart's.

After the kids all left for school, I had to get ready for my Dr appointment.  I've been doing PT for a month now its off to my orthopedics Dr to see what the next step will be to getting my wrist well again.  He gave me a cortisone shot to see how that helps with the pain I have been having.  I have to continue with my PT and will see him in 2 weeks again.

My 2nd photo is of Nick being a goof ball.  He found a hat I was knitting and put it on his head.  I told him it was a small child's hat and his head would probably be to big.  Well, that just made him determined to fit it on his head.  My silly Yazh :o)

Day 24

Ash had 2 classes today, her 9 am Spanish class and her 12:30 Lecture.  So she got to sleep for an extra hour.  Chey and Nick were sad to see their 3 day weekend end.  We were back to our daily morning routine.

Colt doesn't have his 1 class for the day till 2 so I tagged along with him and his dad while they did their errands before his class.  Before we left Ash came home.  She was upset that she drove all the way to Rice Lake to find out that her Spanish class was cancelled.

So off to "Frontier Tuesday" we went.  It is normally "Frontier Monday" but due to the holiday it was moved to Tuesday.  Ash left early so she could get to her 12:30 class.  I spent 2 hours knitting in the van while Colt and Michael took care of their errands and did some shopping.  The only stop I took a photo at was the library.  I didn't take any of the other stops we made.

With the guy errands done, Colt off to class, off to home we go :o)

At 4:30 am Brownie woke me up to let her outside to take care of her puppy business.  At 4:30 there was no snow outside...when I woke up again at 6 am to get the kids up and going and to let Miss B out again, HOLY SNOW!  We haven't had much snow this winter so it was a nice surprise to see.

Chey and Nick didn't have school today but Colt and Ash did.  I was in Mamarazzi mode again this morning as Ash was getting ready for her first day of college.  Michael and I are proud of our 2 oldest, Ash and Colt.  The both of them have successfully started college and have goals set for themselves.

With the older 2 in school, I spent the day with the younger 2.  Nick slept-in till noon due to him staying up till 4 am playing his XBox.  Chey and I watched a couple movies before we got motivated to start chores.  Chey was quick to get her chores done since Brandon was coming to pick her up so they could spend the day together.

It was a nice evening with the family all home.  Brandon stayed for a bit when he brought Chey home.  I thought it was funny to learn that Chey had warned him early in their relationship about Mom and her camera LOL

Today was a lazy Sunday for me.  No more Sunday Packer football to watch till next football season.  I'm still bummed that they lost their last game.

I only took one photo today and that was of Colt sitting at the computer finishing up his homework for his classes on Monday.  This look seems to be his favorite pose when I take a picture of him.  His eyes are always so animated.

It was another COLD and ICY day in Wisconsin.  This was the temperature at 8 am and the high for the day was suppose to be 5 degrees.  In Cumberland it only got to 4 degrees.  During the night, the temp was -28 with the windchill.  The joys of Wisconsin winters!

A 2 Coffee Maker Morning

Happy TGIF! and a morning the Bearhart house had both coffee makers going.  During our last busy morning, we only had 1 coffee maker going and Mom didn't get any coffee after everyone who is allowed to drink coffee left the house.  Mom without coffee is not a good thing...actually, it is a BAD thing LOL

Colt had his 8am class and Ash has a few things to take care of at UW-BC also this morning so the both of them car pooled to Rice Lake.  They were out the door by 7:15.  Nick and Chey were finishing up their morning rituals before they had to head out to the bus stop.

Another busy Thursday at the Bearhart house!  Orientations, early AM physical therapy appointment, cheer practice and tutoring.

This morning Ash had to leave the house early for her orientation.  She's super excited to get school started.  There was a change of plans as far as school.  She still will be going to the Art Institute after she finishes her Gen Ed's at UW-BC.  Ash is an amazing daughter who I am proud of.  She doesn't let set backs get her down or gives up when she encounters them.

The morning ended up being a 3 cup of coffee morning.  I had a lot going on and to do today.  Ash had her testing at school this morning and would be gone for most of the day.  Colt had 2 classes today and wouldn't be done until 5 pm.  So I had to get the house cleaned (guests are coming over) and get the shopping done for Indian Taco Night.  I was going to do Navajo Taco Night but that got out voted for Indian Tacos with Ojibwe frybread.  I had a few other errands to take care of between the cleaning and shopping.
Indian Taco Night was a success and we all had full stomachs to prove it.  Off to the living room we went to enjoy a movie before bedtime :o)

Today I did some much needed cleaning and started working on the piles of laundry that needed to be washed.  It was a chilly but nice day, so when I let Brownie out I grabbed my camera and sat outside with her for a bit.  She had fun playing with Nick's basketball in the snow.  I was starting to turn into a popsicle so I let her play a bit more and I went inside.

Have I mentioned that I'm suffering from NASCAR and baseball withdrawals?  The 2 sports I love and I have to wait :o(  I have to admit I am looking forward to March 4th!  That will be when I'm sitting in WARM (I hope, then again anything above freezing is warm for me LOL) Phoenix with my Sister for the Sprint Cup race!! WooHoo!  Go Dale Jr & Team Hendrick!

I had another PT appointment this morning.  Not exactly my favorite hour of the day.  After all the fun OUCH stuff...PT Jim gave me this fun ball to play with for "homework" LOL  nothing like squeezing a ball in my hand to help ease the pain :oD

After my PT appointment, I drove around town to take care of my errands when I decided to drive on down to Eagle Point.  It was quiet as I drove through.  I stopped a few times to take a couple pictures.  The one I posted was my favorite of them all.

The Packers vs The Giants....a game that I just want to forget!  The game the Packers needed to win and they have a BAD game...VERY bad game.  So bad that I couldn't even watch the last 10 minutes of it.  I left the room SMH (shaking my head--for the individual who I know I would have received a text from asking what is SMH).
Now my NASCAR and baseball withdrawals REALLY set in!  February and April need to get her ASAP!

New Pens

Today I spent most of the day at the computer scrapbooking and trying to get my planner organized.  Colt bought me some new pens when he went school supply shopping.  He knows my love for colored pens :o)  Everyone in the house has their own color.  I color code everyone's activities that I need to keep track of.  Me=BLUE, Michael=ORANGE, Ash=PINK, Colt=GREEN, Chey=PURPLE & Nick=LIGHT BLUE.  Oh almost forgot Family Events=BLACK.

The photo of Miss Tiggy was taken because she loves to get in my way and sit right in the middle of the desk.  It is cute until she moves on to the keyboard and things start to disappear and are lost.

Nick's Art Show Entry

Orange juice has replaced the coffee today.  I spent the day not knowing what day it was until a friend text me a sweet "Happy Friday the 13th" greeting.  Being sick stinks!

I went through my SD card again and noticed I missed a few pictures for today.  I had another PT appointment and was given a container of that funky putty to use with hand exercises.  I'm not a fan of the putty.  It left a funky film on my hand and got under my nails.  PT guy Jim will get an earful regarding the putty LOL.

I also ventured out of the house into town today with Ash.  We stopped at Kwik Trip to put gas in the car when I saw corndogs!  I couldn't pass one up now that I can smell and taste my food once again.

Mr. Fish, Nick brought home his art project to show before he had to take it back to school to be entered in the art show.  Nick received an A+ on his ceramic fish and was recommended to enter it in the art show.  So Mr. Fish is now back at school awaiting his big day :o)

First Day of College

I couldn't miss this mamarazzi moment.  My Yazhii starting his first day of college.  Where does the time go?  A year ago we were making prom arrangements and doing pre graduation planning.  As a mom, I wish we could keep them small and cute.  Yes, I know I have to let them grow up and leave the nest.

After I dropped Colt off, I decided I would spend a little ME time and look around at a few stores I haven't been to in awhile...Goodwill and Bargain Bills.  It was fun looking around and not being rushed to hurry and get out because there is some other place we need to be.  I did find a few things at Goodwill and the damage done in the craft section of Bargain Bills was ONLY $30.  Which isn't bad.  Those who know me and the craft section of Bargain Bills knows what I'm talking about LOL that was just a TINY dent in the amount of damage that could have been done :o)

Day 10

My intention was to get this posted yesterday so I would at least have a bit of a head start on catching up.  NOPE.  I ended up going to bed at 9pm and slept through the night.  I guess I needed my sleep LOL.  (1.17.12)

As much as I didn't want to get up, get ready and leave the house...I did.  I needed to replenish my stock in tissue and drugs :oP  I wandered down the isles of good ole Walmart trying to remember where they hid the facial tissues.  Found them!  Well, I found the amazing tissues with Vicks Vapor Rub in them!  My new cold tissue!  Speaking of Vicks Vapor Rub...that was the perfume scent of the week LOL  Oh believe me...I was using it religiously.  Now on to the NyQuil.  I use to dread taking the stuff as a child and I still do as an adult.  I've tried the cherry flavor NyQuil and that isn't any better in taste.  YUCK is all there is to describe it and I'm making my "yuck face" as I type this and look at the photo above.

This was a GIFT from Ash from one of her many trips out to Vegas and it holds 2 cups of coffee saving me an extra trip to the kitchen for a refill.  Therefore making it one of my favorite cups :o)

This morning everyone woke up early. I thought today was the day that Colt had his orientation for school. Oops! Mom had her days confused! It is a good thing Colt checked the school web site because his orientation isn't until Tuesday the 10th.
In my defense...I'm blaming the cold. I'm not thinking or seeing straight :oPAfter Colt and Ash realized Mom goofed, they both went back to bed.  I stayed awake and made sure Chey and Nick got off to school okay.  I finished my coffee and watched some TV before I laid down for a nap.
The rest of my day was spent blowing my nose and rubbing my watery eyes.

Day 8

I'm going to be playing catch up for the next couple of days.  I had an awful cold last week and I'm finally feeling better to get back to my blog.  I still have a little cough but nothing like what I had last week.  (1.15.12)

Sunday evening was when I started with the first signs of a cold coming on.  I really can't remember what I all did on Sunday.  A week was just too long...one of the downfalls of getting behind and not keeping up with my blog daily :o( 

Day 7

I forgot to turn my alarm off last night before I went to bed...so this morning I woke up at 6:45.  That is just way too early for the weekend so I hit the snooze button and slept till 9:30.  Was nice to sleep in without Miss B waking me up to go outside.
Chey and I were the only ones up at 9:30 so she made coffee and the both of us enjoyed our warm cup of caffeine and watched The Goonies.  The Goonies is one of my all time favorite-cute movies :o)

Flip Flops!!!

Ice Fishing on Beaver Dam Lake

YAY! today I finally wore my flip flops!  It was another nice day until the wind started during the late afternoon.  I'm just thrilled I got to enjoy the afternoon in my flip flops. 
Chey and I were doing errands when I noticed all the people ice fishing out on the lake.  I didn't go out on the lake...me being the chicken I am...I took the picture while safe on land.  I prefer to be on the lake when it is in liquid form and not frozen :o)
